Our take
The Wireless Micro is RØDE's option for people who don't want complications. No pairing, no apps: plug the receiver into your phone and the mics connect on their own, while GainAssist keeps levels steady whether you speak louder or softer.
Its weak spot is battery: about 7 hours per mic and 21 hours total with the case, less than DJI and Hollyland. It also lacks a proper noise-cancellation mode (it relies on the capsule design and windshields) and onboard recording.
In return, it has a 5-year warranty — the longest in this comparison — and the backing of one of the most respected audio brands.
Pros
- Very simple: connects on its own
- Automatic GainAssist levels
- 5-year warranty
- Works over Bluetooth with iPhone without a receiver
Cons
- Lowest battery in the comparison
- No adjustable noise cancellation
- This version doesn't work with Lightning iPhones
