Our take

The Lark M2 is the strongest alternative to the DJI Mic Mini and is often a bit cheaper. Each mic weighs 9 g, the lightest in this comparison, and it comes paired from the factory: plug it into your phone and you're recording.

It gives about 10 hours per mic and 30 hours total with the case. Noise cancellation turns on with the yellow button, and in the HollyAudio app you can choose strong or low. A practical touch: double-press the mic button to start or stop your phone's recording remotely.

Compared with the Mic Mini, it gives up a little range (300 m) and total battery, and it has no onboard recording either. For social media, the quality difference between the two is minimal: pick whichever is cheaper that day.

Pros

  • Just 9 g per mic
  • Very competitive price
  • Control your phone's recording from the mic
  • Factory paired

Cons

  • No onboard recording
  • You need to pick the right version (USB-C, Lightning or camera)
