Our take
The DJI Mic Mini is the mic we'd recommend to almost anyone starting to take their videos seriously. It's tiny (10 g per transmitter), barely noticeable on clothing, and the two-mic kit lets you record interviews or videos with a partner from day one.
What sets it apart from cheap mics is battery and stability: about 11.5 hours per transmitter and up to 48 hours with the charging case, with a range of up to 400 m in open spaces. Noise cancellation has two levels, a soft one for indoors and a strong one for the street.
What it lacks: onboard backup recording. If the signal drops, that part of the audio is lost. For social media videos it's rarely a problem, but if you record events or interviews you can't repeat, look at the DJI Mic 3.

- Up to 48 h of battery with the case
- Two-mic kit at an entry-level price

Cons
- No onboard backup recording
- The USB-C receiver doesn't fit Lightning iPhones without an adapter
