Our take
The Osmo Mobile 7 has the essentials of the 7P (3-axis stabilization, a built-in tripod, a magnetic phone clamp and 10 hours of battery) in a lighter 300 g body, for less money.
The big difference is tracking: here it works through the DJI Mimo app (ActiveTrack 7.0) rather than your phone's native camera, and it doesn't include the module with the mic receiver and light, although you can buy it separately. There's no extension rod either.
If you mostly film while walking, traveling or shooting simple vlogs and don't mind using DJI's app, it's the most balanced choice. If you want tracking with any app or wide selfies, pay the difference for the 7P.
Pros
- The lightest: 300 g
- Affordable
- Built-in tripod
- Can charge your phone while you film
Cons
- Tracking depends on the DJI Mimo app
- No extension rod
- The Multifunctional Module is sold separately
